Team Manager Product Management (d/f/m)

The Team Manager Product Management is responsible for the strategy, planning and lifecycle of the products and services in ColorGATE’s portfolio. The Product Management team transforms ideas into a steady stream of valuable deliverables. To do this, the team manager engages with our customers, defines the product strategy, vision and roadmap, manages and prioritizes our feature backlog, and delivers value.

Your Mission

The Team Manager Product Management reports to the Chief Product Officer. The scope of activities includes, but is not restricted to:

  • Owning ColorGATE's strategic and competitive positioning and delivering products that are recognized as the best in the industry.
  • Understanding user needs and ensuring maximum business benefit.
  • Developing pricing and business strategies for ColorGATE’s products and services that contribute to the company’s commercial success.
  • Integrate studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to increase user satisfaction and long-term potential.
  • Own the short-, mid- and long-term product roadmap.
  • Lead your team of three product owners/managers through the entire product lifecycle, including ideation, technical development and launch of innovative products, as well as maintenance and eventual phase-out.
  • Create and decide on product-related proposals based on (market) data and facts, together with internal stakeholders.
  • Establish a shared vision across the organization by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution.
  • Promote an agile, customer-focused work style throughout the ColorGATE organization, with the PM team leading by example.
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where processes are fluid and innovative solutions are the norm.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with our customers (OEMs, sales partners and direct customers) as well as strategic partners to gain a deeper understanding of their needs, workflows and business challenges.
  • Support customer visits with the sales team and make public appearances.
  • Define success metrics and analyze customer feedback and product usage to inform product roadmap.
  • Communicate timely and aligned portfolio updates across all media, including product portfolio presentations, both internally and externally.
  • Provide internal training to foster a deeper understanding of the product portfolio and positioning.

 

You bring that

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product management and/or product design experience in the software industry, ideally focused on B2B markets.
  • 4+ years of experience working with sales, service, and development teams.
  • Critical thinking/analytical leadership experience.
  • Experience presenting to executive audiences.
  • Strong advocate of an agile mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Information Technology or related field.
  • Experience in an industry focused technology company.
  • Experience in building software products in agile settings.
  • Atlassian Confluence and Jira experience.
